Stabilized maple burl block. Ready to be cast in resin for endless art projects.
stabilized in a vacuum chamber to remove all air bubbles from the wood and replace it with stable resin. This process leaves the wood harder, stronger, moisture / mold resistant, and improves final surface finish after polishing. Stabilization also leaves the wood ready for epoxy casting with must less bubbles forming during solidification. Able to get crystal clear pours in only 1’coat. Ideal for knife / tool handles that will be in contact with water.
